India is set to become the leading driver of global crude oil consumption growth, surpassing China for the first time in decades, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). The country is projected to account for 25% of the total increase in global oil consumption in 2024 and 2025, with demand driven by expanding transport needs and rising household fuel consumption.
